Here is something that has been bugging me for like 20 years. Why is it that an organization, any organization always operates on the level of person with the lowest IQ? This rings true rather you are in a school or at work, shopping or just out cruising. We operate at the pace of the stupidest person around us.
Take school for example: When I was in school, our classes were always interrupted by stupid questions by stupid people. And yes, there is such a thing as stupid questions, especially if you ask it for the 800th time. Why should other people’s education suffer because of one stupid person? They are not going to get as far in life anyways, they will either drop out of that class, or drop out from school, why hinder others in their own predestine path of shittiness?
I see stupid people everyday when I am driving. It’s not that hard to drive down the street, step on gas to go, step on brake to stop. If you need to make a right turn, be on the right lane. And no, swinging all the way from the left lane across 3 lanes, to make that right turn just doesn’t cut it, not to mention you just cut off 30 cars behind you. If we are going down a freeway and 65 MPH is posted. Go 65, not 50 or 45. Driving too fast is hazardous, but so is driving too slow and forcing everyone behind you switch lanes just to get behind you. Most of the people who are on the road need to get somewhere, usually they are going to work or they are going home. Get the FUCK out of their way, and let them get to their destination. If you want to drive 5 miles an hours, do it at 2 in the morning when you are not going to brother anyone.
Even our family has been conditioned to that. I have a sister-in-law who is a nice person overall (like all females, she can get cranky at times). Now, I understand that there are some who are book-smart, and other who are street-smart; as for my sister-in-law, she is neither. But everyone makes excuses for her. I mean WTF is that all about. Why are you telling me how important it is to finish school, when dumb shit over there has been going to a community college for 4 years and have like 5 units completed. (and No, I am NOT kidding).
Let’s not get me started on stupid people in workplaces, that is another subject for another time.
